Our story
A real game, played in 1858, that explains something a sermon never could.
The board is your life
You never set the position. You inherited it. And from inside the game, you cannot see the whole board — nobody can. The pieces are what you have: the job, the plan, the security, the people around you.
God is not a piece on that board. He is not one player among others, moving one square at a time. He plays it — from above. That distinction is the whole brand, and it is why nothing in this world will ever show you a hand.
The move that names it
Paris, 1858. Paul Morphy plays two noblemen in an opera box and gives away his queen on move sixteen. It looks like a catastrophe. It was the only way to win.
The knight on d7 was blocking the file the rook needed. The queen's sacrifice had one purpose: pull that knight off the square. What was lost was standing on the square the victory had to travel through. That is not a metaphor we invented — it is the recorded mechanism of a real game, and anyone can replay it.
Why chess calls it brilliant
A move is annotated !! — brilliant — only when three conditions hold at once: it is the best move, it sacrifices material, and you were not already winning.
Read that third condition again. A brilliant move cannot exist for someone who could have won alone. Grace is written into the rules of the game.
Why a crown of thorns
Every other brand puts a cross on a chain. The crown of thorns is the other half of the same object — the part that was pressed into His head. He wore the thorns. What is left for you is the shape of a king.
Not earned. Received — because of what He already paid.
Built on rock
The name is not decoration. Roc is the rock of Matthew 7:24 — the one thing you can build a house on. So the piece is made like it: 316L surgical steel, gold bonded under vacuum, tested to European nickel-safety standards. The quality of the object is the metaphor.
Le témoignage de Bryan sera filmé, pas écrit. Un emplacement vidéo l'attend sur la page produit — rien n'a été inventé à sa place ici.
